Grymloch
Rarity: Wondrous
Location: Scattered across Alysi and Fa’ar.
Behavior: Grymlochs roam Fa'ar and Alysi, hunting for prey, which they can detect from miles away. They only care for meat, and thus will not attack beings not made of it unless provoked.
Danger Level: High/Titanic
Strengths: Doesn’t tire, can track its prey from miles away, giant, silent on approach, incredibly fast, strong, has a massive size, many powerful tentacles, can duplicate upon being cut in half. Platinum weaponry’s benefits do not apply when facing them. Can only be destroyed once their entire body is destroyed.
Weaknesses: Oldstone weaponry is highly effective against it and neutralizes its duplication effect. Can be thrown off guard by chucking pieces of meat in the opposite direction. Do not attack beings not made of flesh unless provoked.

Description
Grymlochs are the apex-predators of Fa’ar, and, despite their considerable rarity, hunt almost everything inside of it without mercy, never sleeping. In terms of colour, the Grymloch is a weird splattering of purple, pink, and white, the shades and patterns, or rather, lack thereof, ranging from Grymloch to Grymloch. The Grymloch’s body consists of two parts, the back having 6 insect-like legs, which they use to move, and the front having several circular mouths, which are coated in teeth and are used to consume their prey, along with a mass of powerful, muscular tentacles. These tentacles also function as the Grymlochs main form of sensory input, as, much like those on a Porloch, their pores can smell and detect vibrations in the air around them, the sense of smell powerful enough to sense something miles away. The main part of the Grymloch’s body is comprised of a weird amalgamation of shell and flesh, with no other distinct features apart from their mouths, tentacles, and legs. The size of a Grymloch varies from case to case, the smallest being the size of a warhorse, the largest the size of an elephant. The Grymloch is a silent predator, not making a sound as it moves across the landscape, although its very distinctive colour pallet makes it very visible at a great distance. Grymlochs are also incredibly fast, moving at a speed slightly faster than a horse at full gallop, and, regardless of size or their massive weight, their movements appear as if they were as light as a feather and the creature does not appear to tire no matter how far it goes. Despite this apparent weightlessness, the Grymloch cannot pounce on their prey, and must scuttle over to them manually. In combat, Grymlochs typically will use their writhing tentacles to bring their prey close to their mouths, before they are shredded to bits by their teeth.

The Grymloch’s most deadly ability, however, is not its size, nor its speed, nor its plethora of tentacles. In the event that a lucky defender manages to cleave off a piece of the Grymloch, or even cut it in half, they will feel a jolt of electricity in their arm, akin to a very strong static shock, before the newly separated piece of Grymloch withers on the ground, reforming into a Grymloch the size of the cut off piece. This process continues, the new Grymlochs forming an even smaller Grymlochs when chopped to pieces, until they become the size of a boot, at which point no further Grymlochs are formed (Doing something that would end up vaporizing the chunk of Grymloch that was cut off would prevent this effect from happening). Furthermore, conventional stabbing does not affect Grymlochs, as they do not bleed nor possess any vital organs, and they may only be destroyed by their entire essence being dissolved. Grymlochs cannot, however, traverse the blips in reality that often appear inside of Fa’ar, giving their prey a chance, no matter how small, to escape them. Grymlochs do not suffer from the effects of shifting.

The Grymloch is a carnivorous predator, and will hunt its prey unceasingly for miles. Additionally, since the Grymloch, much like the Porloch, cares only for food (Although Grymlochs are carnivorous, and only eat meat), they can be easily distracted and/or thrown off course by throwing chunks of meat in random directions. Since the Grymloch cares only for meat, any beings not composed of it that come into contact with one will be ignored by the Grymloch, unless, of course, they attack it. Grymlochs make no sounds, save for a chorus of their victim’s last words and/or screams that permeates the air around them, growing ever louder the longer the Grymloch was in combat or in a strenuous situation.
