Greater Harpies are, in essence, bigger, stronger, and better harpies. They are viewed as nobility amongst their kin, and the foremost servants of Nikothoe, the harpy queen. As such, they spend most of their days reclining at her palace, unless called to lead swarms of Harpies to battle. They stand at 8 feet tall, with a wingspan of 10 feet, and appear, as normal harpies do, to be a giant bird with the head of an ugly woman. Their hooked claws are sharp and long, possessing an effectiveness against the undead and spirits akin to twice that of platinum, and, to those not in those two categories, that of regular steel. Greater Harpies have infinite stamina, strength equal to that of a Rehk-Ur, and an eyesight so potent that it could spy a needle in a haystack from miles away. Greater Harpies often lead groups of harpies, either on patrols through the skies of Mevvet or on missions to recover escaped souls or thieves.
Greater Harpies, much like their sisters, are vain creatures, obsessed with their own supposed “beauty.” This, however, does not distract them from their duty, which they also consider to be beyond sacred, and, like normal harpies, its entrustment to them to be further proof of their greatness. Greater Harpies also hate Covundarth and his ilk(undead), believing them to be disturbing the natural balance of the universe by denying Mevvet their souls. Rarely, flocks of harpies, often led by Greater Harpies, will travel to Gaia to hunt down and destroy necromancers and all others who violate the dead and thus barr their souls from entering Mevvet. These necromancers, if captured, are ferried directly to Mevvet (despite their achievements in their past life), where they join the ranks of the Forgotten.
Mainly Mevvet, but they can appear in any dimension.
Greater Harpies spend their time leading groups of regular harpies on patrols through the dark skies of Mevvet, or leading hunting parties for escaped souls, souls that never went there (specifically types of undead), and thieves of Mevvet’s secrets.
Individually low/medium, but they often travel in swarms
Infinite stamina, flight, rehk-ur strength, giant claws that are highly effective against undead and spirits, don’t need to eat, rest, or even blink, very good eyesight, often accompanied by a posse of harpies, capable of traveling in between planes (non-combative) to hunt down escaped souls or thieves of Mevvet’s treasures.
Injury to their wings will cause them to fall from the skies.
