Native to the spring court, Greater Dryads can be found in any plane, as long as there is a tree for them to make their home in. Greater Dryads are far more powerful than their cousins, the lesser dryads, and guard the trees to which they are bound with much greater force. To do this, Greater Dryads have at their disposal and may unleash a full arsenal of nature truths and physical attacks upon any who would go near their tree or seek to destroy it. A Greater Dryad, when manifesting themselves outside of their tree, may take two forms, one resembling a woman of a random race, the other a natural golem made of the wood of the tree they protect. This form’s height varies from Dryad to Dryad, but generally depends on the health and type of tree that the Dryad defends. The golem form may not talk, and thus the Dryad is forced to convert to their more vulnerable gaian form if they wish to converse with those who approach them, which does not possess the barky protective skin of their other form. While in their human form, the greater dryad possesses all of their abilities, save those exclusive to the golem form (being made out of thick, hard to penetrate wood and 3x the strength of a human). The Greater Dryad possess a strong sleeping truth, which, if they are feeling merciful, will cause any exposed to it for a decent duration of time to fall into a deep, sometimes comatic sleep. They may also summon the wildlife around their tree to their defense, anything that inhabits the woods around them heeding their call. Plantlife is also under their sway, Greater Dryads being able to temporarily coax neighbouring trees to life to defend their own, as well as manipulate other nearby plants to suit their needs. Only weapons made of platinum may do damage to their non-golem form, possessing the same effectiveness against them that it has against other supernatural creatures. Fire is deadly against the Greater Dryad, although to show it in their presence will result in them immediately attacking its holder. Greater Dryads will stay with their trees until its or their death, and will not leave it under any circumstances. If their tree is killed, greater dryads will die with it. The wood from trees inhabited by Greater Dryad’s have their base traits enhanced, being about twice as effective than their basic equivalents.
