The Frozen Vein rose occurs when the Vein flower has been flash-frozen in a instantaneous blizzard, freezing the flower before it has time to react. The Frozen rose is a very beautiful flower stuck in time as it will never wilt, for while it remains in the Tundra the Frozen Vein will remain; if removed the flower will unfreeze and return back to it's original state, having no alchemical properties. While the flower is in full bloom it will give off a soft illumination in moonlight, enough to shine the area around them, for this reason the rose in either the Vein or Frozen Vein is seen as a cultural gift to Ie Ill'ha or Xulzraiss, the frozen being sought more highly in favor. The Vein rose (Not Frozen) is a rare flower, having to grow in the harsh environments of the Tundra and fight for sustenance of whatever is available, it appears as a gray stem sometimes confused for a stick when growing and the unbloomed bulb being gray underside petals. The rose when finally bloomed shines a consistent vibrant blue with the topside petals able to illuminate in the moonlight.
The Frozen Vein, is the version of the flower that holds alchemical properties due to a chemical compound having no time to react and thus the petals of the rose being more like glass. The rose requiring to be crushed with to a powder can work with alchemy bases offering a 'frozen in time' version of a potion depending on the base used. This can assist in freezing wounds, diseases, poisons, ext for a limited time. Once the time has run out the wound, disease, poison will resume to attack the host.
The color of both the vein and frozen vein are the same with subtle differences, they both consist of a rich vibrant blue when bloomed and a gray stem. The difference is Frozen Vein holds an icy appearance giving it a translucent gleam.
Daylight or Nocturnal Activity
The Vein flower would only grow during direct moonlight, where their petals would shine an illuminating glow of light blue, which carries over during being 'flash frozen' becoming Frozen Vein, unable to grow, wilt or gather seeds.
The Vein flower having no alchemical properties whereas the Frozen Vein would, it would require to be crushed with to a powder to work with alchemy bases offering a 'frozen in time' version of a potion depending on the base used. This can assist in freezing wounds, diseases, poisons, ext for a limited time. Once the time has run out the wound, disease, poison will resume to attack the host.
Otherwise it offers nothing but cultural significance to Ie Ill'ha or a gift to Xulzraiss.
You'll only be able to grow the Vein flower, only able to be grown in Tundra like environments with a direct connection to moonlight so it may grow. To nurture the plant would require sustenance of the polar winds and other plant-life by it, which feeds like a parasite to consume from its roots. The roots act like a siphon on other plant-life taking rich sustenance so it may grow, due to this it is unwise to keep it by other plants if wanting to grow in captivity, requiring its own flower-bed and regular upkeep.
Density The Vein Rose grows around other plant-life, shrubbery, bushes or rotting woods in the Tundra, which usually means the rose can be found in thick bushed areas or growing beside trees spotting one per area.
Growth Rate It takes an age for the Vein rose to reach maturity where you'll see first bloom, if it has reached full maturity the flower will produce on bloom the chemical compound needed for it to be flash frozen and used alchemically.
